Schools
There are educational and communication activities planed under this project, namely the production of a 52-min documentary.
It is combined with an interactive platform (AOA Education Website) presenting informative web-documentaries (2 to 5 min) and teaching tools to promote Arctic research and oceanographic concepts in Canadian elementary, junior-high and secondary schools.
The Green Edge Project has an educational aspect directed to generate concerns and questions of children of all ages. As part of the field research program, we are contacting the local schools to promote Arctic science using educative tools and hopefully will develop more interactive activities between scientists and students upon further discussion with the teachers.
