Catching a luminescent animal

Micro-algae transform carbon dioxide (CO2) and nutrients dissolved in the ocean into organic matter and oxygen. This process, photosynthesis, uses sunlight energy. These primary producers then become an energy source for a vital link in the marine food chain, that being herbivorous zooplankton.

May 1: the team is ready, let the science begin!

The 2016 Green Edge expeditions officially start today with the launching of the ice camp! A crew of 5 people from Takuvik, supported by Eric Brossier’s family has spent the last 10 days organizing the facilities to welcome researchers who will begin arriving  TODAY .
